The short version
There are no user accounts. Your solve history, practice progress, and settings live in your own browser (localStorage / IndexedDB) and never leave your device. Clearing your browser data erases them.
What does leave your device
- The math problems you submit (text or photo) are sent to our server and passed to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, or Moonshot) to generate the solution. Don't include personal information in a problem.
- Anonymous usage events (e.g. "a solve happened", errors, and feedback you send) are logged with IP address and browser user-agent to keep the service reliable and fight abuse.
- Shared solves: if you press Share, that solve is stored on our server so the link works for others. Don't share solves containing personal information.
- Daily puzzle progress: playing the Daily Math Challenge stores an anonymous, randomly generated player id with its puzzle rating and streak on our server so your score persists. It is not linked to your name or real email.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad trackers, no selling or sharing of data with advertisers.
- No real accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored on our servers.
- No cookies used for tracking.
